Clyde Rice

Clyde A. Rice, of Morgantown, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on June 17, 2024.

He was born in Marianna, Pa. on June 24, 1931, a son of the late John and Inez Rice.

Clyde was a graduate of Trinity High School in Washington, Pa. and attended PENN Commercial College. He retired from Huntington National Bank. Clyde was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Craig Rice; his sons, Clyde R. (Kelly) Rice, of Fairmont, John Rice, of Star City, and Timothy Rice (Jodi Welty), of Harpers Ferry. He was a loving “Pap” to his grandchildren, Ashlee and Brian Muniz, Jessica Rice, Jim Rice, Katherine Rice and Allison Rice. He is also the great-grandfather of Rhiannon Horne, Aubree Muniz and Austin Muniz.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his sons, James and Lawrence Rice; brothers, George and John Rice; sisters, Betty Salsbury and Louise Bell.

A private graveside service will be held at the East Oak Grove Cemetery where Clyde will be laid to rest.
